Watercolour Painting

The luminous transparency of watercolour is one of its key attractions and for centuries it has revealed an energy and freshness that cannot be equalled by any other medium. Understanding the principles and techniques of this diverse medium will enable you as an artist to develop and improve your own practice. This course will support those with some experience and those who are just beginning, offering opportunities to broaden painting methods and at the same time teaching elementary drawing the foundation to all forms of painting.

Materials list: Basic set of tools and materials needed for each week:
Surface: A3 equivalent pad of watercolour paper
Brushes: Watercolour brushes in assortment of sizes from 2 to 10.
Paint: Watercolour paint, either tubes or pans. Recommended colours: Cadmium Yellow, French Ultramarine Blue, Prussian Blue, Cadmium Red, Alizarin Crimson
