ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Learn how to get the very best out of your paints with acrylics specialist Ali Cockrean. Offering huge versatility and flexibility of use, acrylics can be used in so many ways to achieve a wide variety of effects. Ali will demonstrate inspiring techniques using different tools and pass on her invaluable hints and tips to ensure you can utilise this exciting medium to it’s full extent. With a series of practical exercises incorporated into the day, you can confidently practice your new skills.

GENERAL INFORMATION
Acrylic paints (Daler Rowney System 3 or Windsor and Newton Galeria are the recommended student quality brands) Colours required: Titanium White, Cadmium Red (Medium hue), Cadmium Yellow (Medium hue), Ultramarine Blue, Burnt Umber. Brushes for acrylics, one short flat and one round shape both medium size would be ideal. Artists Palette Knives (trowel shape are best.) Palette or old dinner plate for mixing paint. A4/A3 pad of primed paper or canvas suitable for acrylic paint. A couple of scouring sponges (available in all supermarkets with scouring pad on one side and sponge on the other.) A couple of small squares of bubblewrap, a pair of scissors, kitchen roll, apron.
