ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This three-day workshop will look at the painting techniques of the great 17th century Dutch artist, Rembrandt. We will study how he built up his paintings using glazes, scumbling and impasto techniques to create his wonderful work. We will also study a little of the history of Dutch art to understand just why Rembrandt was so good!
GENERAL INFORMATION
Materials needed are oils & acrylics, canvas, canvas board or acrylic paper – A3 size.
About the Tutor: Jeffery Courtney
Trained at the Royal Academy School and has made extensive study of painting techniques particularly of the Old Masters. Jeffery works in the figurative tradition including landscapes, portraits, still life and imagination!
