ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

Introducing this unusual medium, Oil Bars give artists the opportunity to make oil paintings with the speed and freedom of drawing; combining the buttery consistency and richness of oil colour with the freedom and directness of pastels or charcoal. Suitable for both beginners and the more experienced.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Oil bars are provided but you will need a canvas or board suited for oil paint, oil bars are a big, broad medium therefore students may want to use a larger canvas than usual, kitchen towel, blunt knife e.g. palette knife & rubber gloves.

About the Tutor:Robert Stuart

A self-taught artist who has attended courses both locally and at The Prince’s Drawing School. With experience of a wide range of subjects, he has shown work in Buckinghamshire & London, with sales to clients from Aylesbury to America.
