Art Foundation Course Year 1
This Foundation course is designed to give students a grounding in the basics of drawing and painting and to give them confidence in their own abilities to progress. It also introduces you to the fascinating and vibrant world of drawing and painting.
The Course:Term 1: – Drawing
Term 2: – Painting, mediums and techniques
Term 3: – Making paintings
Suggested Materials:
sketch book A3, water colour paper/pad, set of pencils which include 2H, HB, 2B, 4B, 6B; a set of basic watercolours containing the primary and secondary colours, basic set of acrylics, a few brushes from large to small, square/flat to filbert (arrow shape) eraser, sharpener and a pallet on which to mix your paints.
This does not have to be bought all at once but will be discussed in the class. Better to buy good quality but small, than cheap with poor pigments.
