Spring Term: Wednesday 13th January 2016
Cost: £125.00 (10-weeks, Code:4016)
Course Description: WThis course is designed to introduce you to the insights of drawing and painting techniques and equip you with the basic skills and knowledge in a varity of media. After the completion of one year studying you will have the opportunity to join a small group who’s aim will be to achieve accreditation in Fine Art.
In the first term we will be looking at watercolour, charcoal and, probably, pastel.
By week 2, students will want to have:
A water colour set, a mixing palette – often the lid of the water colour box is designed to act as a palette.
A selection of watercolour brushes – sizes 4, 8 and 12 will be most useful – if only one brush is purchased, a 12 sable will be most versatile.
Paper – a pad of ‘NOT’ watercolour paper
We will move on to charcoal and pastel later in the term, returning to watercolour before Christmas. Acrylics and oils will be reserved for terms 2 and 3.
