ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Palette knife painting is tactile and fun, it can be bold or subtle and gives confidence and helps you be divisive when painting.
Day 1 students will be shown a simple step by step method, using a variety of techniques
Day 2 students will be encouraged to be more experimental!
GENERAL INFORMATION
Easels & boards provided, please bring: no. 4 watercolour brush, range of acrylic or oil paints, 3 palette knives which should have a bend in them, not with the blade coming straight from the handle. A 3.5cm & 6cm triangle shaped knife & a 7cm straight parallel sided knife, A3 heavyweight cartridge or oil/acrylic sketch pad or canvas board.
About the Tutor: Jeffery Courtney
Trained at the Royal Academy School and has made extensive study of painting techniques particularly of the Old Masters. Jeffery works in the figurative tradition including landscapes, portraits, still life and imagination!
