ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP

This workshop “explores the rectangle” and introduces tools, techniques and ideas for picture composition. These will apply equally to landscape, figurative and abstract work. We will review work by both old and modern masters to gain an understanding of the structures in their work, and learn to develop frameworks that we can use to build our own pictures. The workshop is suited to artists at all levels.

This is an optional 2 day workshop. On the first day you will use sketching media e.g. pencil and charcoal, on day 2 you can use the medium of your choice.
