ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Day 1 – The Coy Carp at Harefield
Standing in an idyllic setting, with its own gardens overlooking the Pynesfield Lakes and the stretch of water where the River Colne and Grand Union Canal meet.
Day 2 – Exploring the estate at Greys Court, Henley on Thames
This picturesque 16th century mansion contains a series of walled gardens providing a colourful patchwork of interest set amid medieval ruins. There is also a 14th century Great Tower and a rare Tudor donkey wheel, in use until the early 20th century.
Day 3 – Eton College and Windsor Castle
Sketch two of the most country’s most well-known landmarks situated at opposite ends of Eton High Street. The day will start at Eton College followed by lunch in the High Street and then an opportunity to conclude this 3 day workshop sketching Windsor Castle from the bridge over the Thames.
Students should bring the sketching medium of their choice, watercolour, pastel, coloured pencils, acrylics, charcoal & graphite, in fact anything that makes a mark and is easily transportable! The workshop fee includes an 8 x 8″ Hardbound Sketchbook with 95 pages of sized cartridge paper, just perfect for water mediums, and with that number of pages you can afford to sketch and doodle to your hearts content!
