After graduating from Brighton College of Art Amanda worked as a Freelance Illustrator in publishing and advertising. More recently she has focused on Fine Art and her paintings portray the intricate detail, pattern and beauty of the world we live in.
Amanda is a Figurative Artist who paints a variety of subjects from portraits and architecture to botanical art and landscapes. Much of her work is inspired by the long walks she likes to take exploring both countryside and urban landscapes. Back in the studio she translates her observations into beautifully detailed and vibrant art, painted in either watercolour or oils.
Amanda has taught Fine Art Painting and Design Appreciation, part time, at Langley College, Berkshire. She has also been a guest teacher at Artspiration, which offers art classes for children and adults and also gives occasional group and individual tutorials on painting techniques.
