As a teenager Meryl studied figurative art at night school, she then went on to achieve a BA honours in fashion design and worked as a womenswear designer for 13 years including illustration/print design/colour pallet creation and fabric development.
Since 2011 she has returned to her first love, following a stint at a local adult learning class she moved into an atelier in ‘The London School of Fine Art’ and more recently studied at ‘Art Academy London’ in order to develop a more contemporary approach and to broaden her practice.
Meryl is passionate about the importance of creativity in our lives, at any age, and is inspired by helping people break through their perceived barriers.
