ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Have you always wanted to have a go but didn’t know where to start? Come and join us on a journey of discovery from the first mark on paper to a complete drawing. Demonstrations and one to one guidance are given throughout the duration of the course.
On day 1 you will start by experimenting with pencil mark making, exploring negative shapes, drawing out objects you never thought of attempting and completing a tonal project in charcoal. All images will be provided by the tutor.
On day 2 you will be helped to express your creative side in colour. Through a series of exercises you will develop an understanding of basic colour mixing. In the afternoon the tutor will help you to plan (and make it happen) how to create a painting from an image that you always wanted to paint or draw. The student must provide his/her own image for example an animal pet, your house or simply a favourite landscape.
