ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
Enjoy travelling around the beautiful, picturesque landscapes and waterways of the Beaconsfield area, sketching as you go, tutored by the watercolour guru himself, Barry Herniman, an artist with a wealth of experience to guide you in painting and sketching ‘en plain air’. You will visit the quaint ‘Cherry Pie’ village, Seer Green, with historic church and gardens, a trip to Black Park Country Park, with lake, varied fauna and famed for it’s use as an outdoor location for may films and television productions. Ray Mill Island, gives the opportunity to paint and sketch moving water with it’s location on the River Thames, Boulters Weir and adjacent Boulters Lock. One day will also give the opportunity to sketch a local windmill in the village of Coleshill.
This is sure to be a fun filled 5 day workshop, in beautiful surroundings of Buckinghamshire.
GENERAL INFORMATION
Students should bring the sketching medium of their choice, watercolour, pastel, coloured pencils, acrylics, charcoal & graphite, in fact anything that makes a mark and is easily transportable plus a chair and easel if you use them, as they are not provided. The workshop fee includes lunch for the 4 days ‘en plain air’, and an 8 x 8″ Hardbound Sketchbook with 95 pages of sized cartridge paper, just perfect for water mediums, and with that number of pages you can afford to sketch and doodle to your hearts content!
