Artist, Joseph Schneider, has 30 years experience of making and teaching with all ages, a passion for supporting everyone to believe in their artistic potential. His teaching is grounded in his own vibrant art practice using a range of techniques. He is a graduate with an MA in Painting from the Royal College of Art, has appeared on Sky Landscape Artist of the Year and was awarded the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, Carroll Award, for young artists.
He loves to share his excitement and knowledge about artists’ past and present and is skilled at making the most complex ideas accessible. His own lively artwork across portraiture, landscape and still-life is based on the discipline of working from observation as much as allowing for imagination to emerge from messy, exploratory processes.
