ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP – GLAZING AND SCUMBLING
We will try out and discover the wonderful rich colours you can achieve using the technique of ‘glazing’ with oil, which cannot be produced any other way. We will then practice the opposite technique of ‘scumbling’ and discover the subtle and delicate atmospheric effects so helpful in landscape painting and also painting flesh. We will look at examples from the Masters and there will be demonstrations from the tutor.
