ABOUT THIS COURSE
This course run over 2 weeks is for those students who would like to paint their chosen subject, in their chosen medium on canvas or paper, under professional guidance gaining confidence to paint alone at home.
So if it’s watercolours – you’ll need water colour paper ( 300g cold pressed) an artists quality paint set, water colour brushes including a small, medium and large brush or a set that has a variety of brushes in it, tissue paper/ toilet paper/kitchen towel, a HB or 2B pencil, an eraser and a sharpener.
For acrylics – either a canvas or acrylic paper ( available at Hobbycraft, WH Smith or online) a variety of brushes and a range of colours including your primaries – most sets have these in them and an apron or old shirt.
For oil paints – these are slightly more tricky as they don’t dry quickly and so you must consider the transportation of a wet canvas.
Again, you’ll need a canvas or good quality oil- paint paper, a set of oil paints including your primaries, a set of brushes, some white spirits or turps and containers that seal, kitchen towel and an apron or old shirt.
The picture will obviously be something personal to you or simply something you’d like to copy.
