COURSE DESCRIPTION
Suitable for all abilities. Create your own set of hand painted greeting cards, with demonstrations, ideas and tuition from professional artist, Amanda Nester. The class will take place in the relaxed atmosphere of ArtSmarts characterful studio in Beaconsfield.
SUBJECT MATTER
The tutor will provide plenty of examples for you to copy and adapt to your own liking, or she will help you to create your own unique designs.
COURSE CONTENT
Tracing and drawing designs onto your cards
Simple ways to use watercolours and colour mixing
Creating a set colourful and original greeting cards toggle to friends and family
MATERIAL LIST
Students will need to bring:
Watercolour paints* – pans or tubes. A mini paint set e.g. Daler – Rowney Aquafine Mini Travel Set or a Hobbycraft paint set from £3 will do
HB or B pencil
Pencil Sharpener
Eraser
Paint brushes – two or three different size watercolour brushes e.g. 0,2,6 (synthetic brushes are fine)
Paint mixing palette (can be a white plate)
Black waterproof fine liner pen (with a Fine nib)
Glue Stick (e.g. Pritt Stick)
Ruler
Scissors
* Suggested colours – Lemon Yellow, Cadmium Yellow, Cadmium Red, Permanent Rose or Alizarin Crimson, Ultramarine Blue, Cerulean Blue
