Chinese Brush Painting – Flowers – Through hands-on exercises, demonstrations and guidance from the tutor, this one day course will introduce you to the techniques used to paint in the Chinese style, how to use the Chinese brush, how to paint beautiful brush strokes and master drawing the line.
You will paint freehand flowers such as plum blossom and peonies with colour and in context.
Materials needed:
A selection of Chinese brushes, large, medium & small.
A bottle of Chinese ink
Watercolour paints in Chinese colours: Gamboge, Indigo, Burnt Sienna, Vermillion, Carmine, Rouge Tint & White.
Rice paper (Xuan paper)
A couple of small palettes or dishes.
